Michael Lockamy Honored at Annual Presentation of the Pins

Congratulations to Bedell Firm attorney Michael Lockamy, director, recently honored at the William A. Van Nortwick Jr. Presentation of the Pins Pro Bono Awards Ceremony.

The 4th Judicial Circuit and the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Pro Bono committees came together to celebrate local attorneys who have provided 20 hours or more of volunteer civil legal services in the previous calendar year.

Michael was recognized as the 2020 recipient of the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award in the 4th Judicial Circuit. He provided more than 100 hours of pro bono service in 2019, including volunteering with the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Guardian Advocate program and representing a prisoner in a court-appointed civil case in federal court.

Bedell Firm attorneys have a history of giving back. Director John Woodlee is the president of the board of directors for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Northeast Florida’s nonprofit law firm.
